About Ar. Bankim Dave

Ar. Bankim Dave, renowned for his landmark bankim dave projects, was the “National President of Institute of Indian Interior Designers (I.I.I.D.)” for the 2010-2012 term and “Chairman of Asia Pacific Space Designers Alliance (APSDA)” from 2010 – 2014. Currently, he serves as Secretary General of the World Council of Leaders of Interior Design, championing sustainable corporate office design.

Represented India three times from I.I.I.D. as one of the three Official representatives to the International Federation of Interior Architects (IFI) Convention; once in 2003 – Pune (India); in 2007 – Busan (S. Korea) and in 2009 in Dubai.

Had the rare honour of being one of the five International Jurors to judge the International Design Award 2011 held at Herford, Germany. Subsequently, was also invited to present the said Awards at the grand Awards nite organized by Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in July, 2011.

Chaired the General Assembly of Asia Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) in Beijing, China in October 2011 and Goa, India in February 2012. Represented IIID, India at the General Assembly of APSDA in October 2014 held in Indonesia.

Represented IIID – India at the India – Italy Design Roundtable organized in Rome, Italy by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italy on July 20, 2012.

Was the key note speaker at the inaugural ceremony of The 6th China (Shenzhen) International Interior Design Cultural Festival organized in Shenzhen, China on September 09 & 10, 2012.

Was invited by MAISON&OBJET to Paris from Jan. 23 to Jan. 26, ’14 as honored guest to the Home Décor Exhibition where he addressed the gathering of Presidents / Chairmen of professional Institutes from across the globe.

Conferred the rare distinction of “CIDI HONORARY MEMBER” by the IberoAmerican Council of Interior Designers.

Recepient of the “2014 Hermes & Iris Prize for Leadership & Communication in Interior Design” awarded by CIDI IberoAmerican Council of Interior Designers in April 2014.

Ar. Architect Bankim Dave served on the Advisory Committee – Composite Project of Science Centre, Museum, Art Gallery & Planetarium, Surat of Surat Municipal Corporation.

Bankim is an active Rotarian. He is Past President of Rotary Club of Udhna. He has served R.I. Dist. 3060 as Assistant Governor, District Secretary, Governor’s Zonal Representative and as Chairman of almost all the important District Committees. He served as Assistant Governor in the R.Y. 2003 – 2004. He has served as member of the “ Nominating committee to elect the District Governor of R.I. Dist. 3060” for the R.Y. 2004 – 2005.
